Aloha, I’m Abigail Andrade — owner, baker, and creative heart behind Hapa Bakes.

I was raised on the Big Island of HawaiÊ»i, where food is more than nourishment — it’s culture, community, and connection. Growing up surrounded by diverse ethnic influences shaped not only my palate but also my appreciation for tradition, flavor, and the stories food tells. Every celebration, gathering, and holiday centered around something homemade, something shared.

After graduating from culinary school in Colorado, I found myself at a crossroads. I had the training, the technique, and the drive — but I was still searching for what truly felt like me. It became clear that my two greatest passions were my love for home and my love for baking. I didn’t want to choose between them. I wanted to blend them.

That’s how Hapa Bakes was born.

“Hapa” represents being beautifully mixed — a reflection of both my cultural background and my baking style. Through Hapa Bakes, I bring Polynesian and Asian-inspired flavors to the Arizona community, thoughtfully fused with classic American desserts. My creations are nostalgic yet unexpected — familiar, but with a vibrant twist.

Signature flavors like my Guava Soirée Cake, Chocolate Chantilly Cake, and Lilikoi (Passionfruit) Thumbprint Cookie are inspired by the islands that raised me and crafted with the refined technique I’ve trained in. Every dessert is designed with intention — balancing texture, sweetness, and flavor in a way that feels both comforting and elevated.

For me, baking is more than creating something beautiful. It’s about honoring where I come from while sharing it with others. It’s about celebrating life’s moments — big and small — with something made by hand and from the heart.

Thank you for being here and for allowing me to share a taste of home with you.

With love,
Abbie
